How To Apply
Applying for Leadership Mendocino is as easy as completing and submitting the application. Applications must be mailed or faxed and cannot be submitted electronically from this site.
Any adult who believes he or she meets the selection criteria is encouraged to apply. Simply save and print off the PDF application, fill out and mail or fax back to Leadership Mendocino. The fax number is (707) 462-2088. Applications are also available at our office at the address below.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should:
- Demonstrate a high level of interest and personal involvement in Mendocino County;
- Show a desire to serve on Boards, or in other leadership roles or key positions in the County;
- Show evidence of clear and mature judgment;
- Have a strong desire to remain in Mendocino County for five years after completing the program;
- Have the full endorsement and financial backing of their employer;
- Make a personal commitment to the program, including attendance at all class sessions.
Time commitment
Sessions are held at a variety of locations throughout Mendocino County. Participants are expected to attend each session. Travel time to meetings should be considered part of the time commitment; car-pooling is encouraged. Class days are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. They may be fast-paced and are structured for teambuilding, networking, leadership skills development and optimal adult learning.
Graduates of the program are expected to spend time the following year to help plan future program days.
Individuals willing to make a firm commitment to the program should apply.
Tuition
Tuition for each Leadership Mendocino participant is $900 and is non-refundable. Checks, cash or credit cards are accepted. Of the $900 tuition, a personal financial commitment of $100 from each participant is preferred. The balance may be paid by an employer, individual(s), organization(s) or the participant. Full tuition is due and payable on or before the first class day. Scholarship funds are available; contact the office for more information at (707) 463-6967.
